Prezi
is like Google Docs but for power points. Prezi has more features and is cooler
than Microsoft’s PowerPoint. There are free Prezi accounts and ones that cost
money. The more you pay for your Prezi the more features you have available.
There are 26 million registered users on Prezi and 500 Prezis viewed online.
Prezi
has impacted the business industry. Business workers can make different
presentations with different features. This allows them to make different
looking presentations for every project they make. Prezi helps someone’s
project stand out from the rest. Prezi catches the audience’s attention better
than Microsoft’ PowerPoint and other sources that can be used for
presentations. Prezi has slides with different animations for example it allows
someone to zoom in the slide. This allows business to make affective
presentations and impress different clients. This can allow business to sign
more clients because of their impressive presentation. Although someone may get
carried away and over use the animations. This could cause the presentation to
become too long and bore the clients, ultimately leading to the client deciding
to sign with another firm.
Socially
Prezi doesn’t make a big impact. Prezi allows the public to view your
presentation. This allows everyone to see your presentation and the different
animations that can be used. Although, this could be a disadvantage because
someone could copy your exact presentation. This could have legal implications
because plagiarism is illegal.
Prezi
can be used to impact the entertainment industry. People can make presentations
on movies, media networks, and other forms of entertainment. Someone can make a
presentation saying how good a movie or video game is. Although someone can
also say how bad the movie or video game was. This information is available for
the whole world to see it and can be used as positive or negative advertisement.
On
Prezi someone can also make a presentation about news or current events. These
presentations are available for the whole world, or any Prezi user to see. This
could cause false news to be spread or bad news hurting a company’s reputation.
If the news that is spread is false and over a million people see it, it could
hurt a company’s stock value.
Prezi
can also be used for recreational purposes. Since they have so many different
animations and features, Prezi is more exciting to watch then PowerPoint. This
means people could watch Prezi for fun if they wanted to. Although, people who
make a Prezi presentation for fun or for school could get carried away and use
too many of the features. This could make the presentation too long and result
in someone getting a worse grade then if they did not use that many animations.
